Job Overview:
Qatar Airways is seeking a Reservations and Ticketing Agent for its Entebbe office. The role requires providing professional reservations and ticketing services to customers and travel businesses, either via telephone or in-person, to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and meet revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make and confirm reservations for passengers.
• Arrange reservations and routing using airline schedules, manuals, and reference guides.
• Issue tickets with correct fare quotations, reducing passenger complaints.
• Handle mishandled passengers such as NOREC/DNB and resolve issues.
• Advise on changes in flight plans or reservations.
• Notify load control personnel and other stations of changes in passenger itineraries.
• Ensure timely closure of the sales report.
• Promote QR products to generate revenue.
• Record and process reservations through various communication channels (phone, fax, email).
• Assist travel agents with seat confirmations and ticketing issues.
• Issue MCOs, process refunds, and handle lost tickets.
• Advise passengers on travel routes and ticket costs.
• Communicate with customers or travel agents about changes or alternate travel options.
• Answer inquiries from travel agencies or transportation firms (airlines, buses, railroads).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 1 year of job-related experience.
• Recognized IATA / Airline Basic Tariff Course is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of world geography.
• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
• Familiarity with special rates, offers, and promotions.
• Proven ability to manage room sales and adhere to revenue targets.
• Strong quality-consciousness and customer service skills.
