Job Overview:
MakSPH is recruiting qualified Research Assistants for the CORD Project in Adjumani district. The assistants will conduct data collection through quantitative and qualitative interviews, focus group discussions, and other research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain informed consent from study participants, ensuring they understand the study’s objectives and procedures.
- Conduct quantitative interviews in strict adherence to the study protocol.
- Coordinate study activities across multiple sites, ensuring timely execution and project success.
- Maintain professional interactions with community leaders, healthcare workers, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct qualitative interviews and facilitate focus group discussions with diverse participants.
- Transcribe interview and focus group discussion recordings with precision and accuracy.
- Address participant questions and ensure transparency throughout the data collection process.
- Participate in data management activities, including data validation for accuracy.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Principal Investigators (PI) to support the study’s success.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., Environmental Health, Social Sciences).
- Proficiency in English and local languages (Arabic or Madi).
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection for research projects.
- Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Subjects Protection, or equivalent ethical training.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Competencies and Skills:
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with refugee populations or in refugee settings.
- Ability to conduct research via virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, phone).
- Familiarity with Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) tools.
- Strong report-writing skills and attention to detail.
Contract Period: 1 month (renewable)
