Position Summary:
The Program Trainer II will collaborate with cross-functional specialists to enhance capacity-building efforts among program support and partnerships. The role involves designing and delivering impactful learning processes, contextualizing training content, and facilitating live and virtual learning events in alignment with the national learning strategy.
This position carries out a full learning cycle, including needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on supporting frontline church partners (FCPs) and may involve coaching other learning professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and embody Compassion’s mission in all actions.
- Advocate for child protection, abiding by Compassion’s Child Protection and Code of Conduct policies.
- Contextualize and deliver learning solutions on topics such as child development, child protection, and health interventions.
- Facilitate dynamic and engaging learning experiences for small and medium groups, both in-person and virtually.
- Audit, evaluate, and develop training programs and materials in alignment with the national learning strategy.
- Coordinate logistics for training events, including selecting and evaluating training vendors.
- Compile and analyze learner performance data to identify gaps and measure training effectiveness.
- Facilitate non-training events such as team-building and strategic planning sessions for partners.
- Participate in international learning communities and share best practices across the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
Faith and Culture:
- Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Committed to Compassion’s core cultural behaviors and values.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Trainer of Trainers certification required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience training adult learners.
- Experience in developing online content and managing a Learning Management System.
- Monitoring and evaluation experience is an added advantage.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Trainer of Trainers certification.
- Equivalent education, training, or certification may substitute for formal requirements.
Skills:
- Strong facilitation and contextualization skills for diverse learning needs.
- Ability to create and maintain engaging learning environments.
- Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and blended learning approaches.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
Working Environment:
- Office Environment: Standard office conditions.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel as part of normal work schedule.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
