Role Overview

The Direct Sales Representative will be responsible for sourcing and managing client relationships, driving personal banking business opportunities, cross-selling banking products, and ensuring adherence to KYC and AML policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and manage client relationships to minimize attrition.
  • Identify new personal banking business opportunities in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Ensure strict adherence to KYC and AML policies and procedures.
  • Cross-sell the bank’s products, including assets, liabilities, and electronic banking solutions.
  • Conduct sales calls and gather market intelligence.
  • Handle and escalate verbal and written customer complaints.
  • Risk-profile potential clients while adhering to compliance requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Experience, and Competencies

Education and Experience

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of banking products, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of credit principles, including analysis and interpretation of financial statements.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiarity with account opening processes and documentation.
  • Understanding of risk management principles, behavior and application scoring systems, and relevant software.
  • Awareness of competitors’ products and services.
  • Knowledge of KCB’s products and processes is an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to attend and leverage learning sessions.
