The African Union Internship Program offers graduates and students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various fields while fostering an understanding of the organization’s workings. This full-time program is open to qualified individuals from diverse academic backgrounds, encouraging cultural diversity, professionalism, and teamwork.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Final year Bachelor’s students or graduates (Bachelor’s/Master’s degree).
  • Aged 32 or below.
  • Nationals of African Union Member States.
  • Proficient in at least one AU working language (English, French, Arabic, or Portuguese).
  • No prior work experience required.

Focus Areas Include:

  • Political Affairs, Peace, and Security
  • Economic Development, Trade, and Industry
  • Infrastructure and Energy
  • Health and Humanitarian Affairs
  • Women, Gender, and Youth
  • Legal Counsel, Ethics, and Protocol

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Commitment to multicultural teamwork.

Application Process:
Applications are submitted online and must include:

  • Motivation letter.
  • Copy of passport/national ID.

  • CV.
  • Recommendation letter from an educational institution.

Terms:

  • Unpaid; interns are responsible for travel, accommodation, and insurance.
  • Internship duration: 3 months, renewable once.
