Job Overview:
AEGY Uganda is seeking 8 Project Officers to implement program plans and monitor project activities at the field level.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement program plans, including specific themes, and monitor project activities and compliance at the field level.
- Coordinate with the Health Department, Community-Based Organizations, and Government Departments/officials in the villages and the district of the project area.
- Establish linkages with districts and other stakeholders to ensure support for project requirements.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and facilitate training programs and related activities for stakeholders and project staff.
- Manage training sessions, conduct regular field visits, and provide handholding support to community mobilizers and the district-level team as necessary.
- Collect data using appropriate tools and enter it into the system.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Manager.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or a diploma in a health-related discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of the local language is preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Organized, team player, self-starter, and results-oriented individual.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in program implementation and training.
- Experience in health projects is an added advantage.
- Experience working with government structures, Village Health Teams (VHTs), and Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) is essential.
Work Hours:
- 8 hours per day.
