Job Title: Business Development Manager
Reports to: Managing Director

Job Purpose:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth, client engagement, and ensuring timely collection.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Deliver cargo volume and value targets.
  • Prepare bid documents for projects and lead negotiations with clients.
  • Collect market intelligence critical to decision-making, especially regarding pricing for services, balancing the conflicting objectives of maximizing profits and market share.
  • Ensure that customers pay on time, aiming to have no new bad debts – invoices must be paid off within 45 days latest.
  • Represent the company at key stakeholder engagements.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Business or any business-related course.
  • EACFFPC is an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the sale of logistics services.
  • Computer literacy (Windows, MS Office).
  • A master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
  • A driven and target-oriented individual.
  • Focused, action-oriented individual with extreme attention to detail.
  • A problem solver with a can-do mindset.
  • Able to manage a team of professionals and technical staff.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
  • Efficiency, planning, and good organizational skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to diagnose, analyze, and solve problems.
  • Discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Professional and ethical with absolute honesty.
