Job Title: Clearing Clerk – Kampala (Fresher Jobs)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor batching bill of entry for submission to customs.
• Maintain internal collection and distribution of cheques.
• Reconciliation of deferred payment statements.
• Monitor the tracking of containers.
• Monitor tracking of customs entries and releases.
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of the quality management system.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the declaration officer.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding, Procurement and supply chain management, Business Administration, or any related discipline. Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage.
• Two years of relevant experience in a similar busy environment.
• Ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional personal presentation.
• Customer service orientation.
• Ability to adhere to prescribed routines and practices and compose effective and accurate correspondence.
• Proficiency in dealing with non-routine matters, such as special projects, with minimum specific instructions.
• Decision-making skills are required.
