Job Title: Human Resource Assistant

Platinum Credit Profile:
Platinum Credit is a leading Regional Micro Finance Company providing emergency loans to employed individuals in Eastern Africa. We have a wide spread branch network in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Platinum Credit (U) Ltd has introduced a new product available to formally employed persons working in the Private Sector. Platinum Credit (U) Ltd is a subsidiary of Platcorp Holdings Ltd.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performance Management for all staff especially sales and collections teams.
- Recruitment & selection of staff
- Handling disciplinary cases and grievances in line with stipulated company rules and policies.
- Leave management for staff.
- In charge of employee welfare e.g., Medical Insurance, Workman’s Compensation plus other schemes.
- Managing Employee Records e.g., staff files and employee contracts.
- Providing support to the Payroll Officer.
- Take part in the training and development of staff.
- Providing HR-related reports.
- Develop, implement, review and communicate HR policies.
- Drafting correspondences for the HR Department.
Minimum Qualifications for this job:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position.
- Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or any other relevant field.
- Knowledge of Human Resource policies, labour laws and employment act.
- Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
- Computer knowledge.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
