Job Summary:

The optometrist will conduct the necessary eye examinations and prescribe eyeglasses to the different patients in line with our client’s policies and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation.
• Diagnose and suggest treatment for ocular disease.
• Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses.
• Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and eye-care options.
• Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues.
• Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions

Minimum Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate must hold a minimum a Diploma in Optometry
• A Bachelor of Science in Optometry is an added advantage.
• 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the optics industry.
• Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions in both children and adults.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• General computer proficiency
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and multitasking ability
