Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is an administrative position over employees & other personnel. Duties include recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, administering pay, benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies. Our ideal candidate will display strong communication skills, a knack for relationship building and comfort handling important decisions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Talent acquisition, interviewing & onboarding; specifically overseeing the hiring of a Data Entry Clerk, Office Clerk, Sales Rep & 2 Machine Operators
- Training team members in new processes & technology as needed
- Monitoring performance & ensuring employees understand their job responsibilities while encouraging & incentivizing their progress
- Resolving employee issues and conflicts
- Determining suitable salaries with impartiality
- Administering pay, benefits and leave
- Ensuring job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local regulations
- Enforcing company policies & ensuring the compliance with local regulations
- Offboarding retired &/or laid-off employees
- Handling sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism
Minimum Qualifications
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field OR 7-10 years of relevant management experience
- Strong leadership & decision-making skills
- Conflict management skills
- Relationship building skills
- Excellent verbal and written writing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Must be local to Uganda
- Understanding of Ugandan local labor laws & regulations
