Role Overview
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, management, and operations of Next Media Services. The CFO ensures financial sustainability, compliance, and strategic planning to support the organization’s vision and objectives. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and growth while upholding the organization’s values and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations for key business decisions and growth.
- Evaluate financial risks, opportunities, and investments to maximize shareholder value.
Financial Management and Reporting
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective measures.
Operational Oversight
- Supervise the finance team, ensuring efficiency and capacity-building.
- Implement and maintain financial systems, processes, and controls.
- Lead cost management initiatives to drive efficiency across the organization.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to governance policies and ethical financial practices.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulators for statutory compliance.
- Establish risk management frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders.
- Represent Next Media in financial negotiations and partnerships.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of financial targets such as revenue growth and profitability.
- Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports and audits.
- Efficiency improvements in operations and cost management.
- Compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthened financial systems and controls.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable.
- Professional Certification:
- CPA, ACCA, or CFA qualification is mandatory.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in financial management, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Proven expertise in strategic financial planning and corporate governance.
- Industry experience in media or a fast-paced environment is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Strategic and analytical mindset.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
