Job Summary:

The Program Assistant will provide programmatic and administrative support to the Zonal Office, contributing to the effective implementation of HIV/AIDS programs and activities.

Reports to: Zonal Coordinator

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate capacity-building sessions on accreditation for Non-state actors/Partners and certification for state actors.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of HIV Programs.
  • Disseminate HIV/AIDS messages and information at Zonal, local government, and community levels.
  • Collect HIV/AIDS-related data to support databases and the information center.
  • Facilitate communication and information sharing between the Secretariat and the Zones.
  • Maintain an HIV/AIDS database and Information Resource Management at the Zonal Level.
  • Organize and schedule appointments, meetings, field visits, UAC advocacy events, and other activities at the Zonal Level.
  • Receive, record, and route all incoming and outgoing correspondences.
  • Manage the provision of logistical supplies at the Zonal Office.
  • Produce monthly progress reports on HIV/AIDS using UAC reporting tools.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Health Sciences, Public Health, HIV/AIDS Community & Social Care, Integrated Primary Health Care, Clinical Medicine, or Project Planning and Management from a recognized institution.
  • A qualification in Computer Literacy will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of working experience in a public or reputable private organization.

  • Teamwork, networking, and interpersonal relations.
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating.
  • Negotiation and lobbying skills.
  • Ethics and integrity.
  • Good computer skills.
