Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, prepare protocols/reports, and conduct process and cleaning validation.
  • Provide training, motivation, coaching, and support to employees to maintain quality standards.
  • Investigate deviations, complaints, and recalls in coordination with the Regulatory Affairs (RA) team.
  • Issue controlled documents such as specifications, BMRs, BPRs, preventive maintenance plans, facility layouts, SOPs, and protocols.
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data and maintain accurate records (APQR).
  • Monitor warehouse cleaning, temperature mapping, and record-keeping.
  • Assist QA team leaders in developing and implementing QA policies and procedures and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Report quality issues to management and other relevant departments.
  • Verify received materials to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct online document inspections to ensure compliance with data integrity.
  • Manage retention, issuance, and destruction of all records.
  • Oversee approved reprocessing and reworks, change controls, CAPA, and risk management.
  • Ensure initial and ongoing training for quality control personnel.
  • Provide line clearance for production activities.
  • Approve or reject received starting materials.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field.
    • A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years in a pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Report writing and analytical skills.
    • Budget management and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Negotiation, strategic thinking, and conflict management skills.
  • Behavioral Competencies:
    • Respectful, sociable, and team-oriented.
    • Result-driven, responsible, and mature.
    • Innovative and adaptable to change.
    • Strong leadership and business acumen.
