Job Summary
The Nation Media Group (NMG) seeks a dynamic and visionary Head of Creative to lead its creative direction across TV, print, online, and radio platforms. This leadership role requires driving innovation, brand identity, and audience engagement while mentoring a multidisciplinary team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Creative Strategy & Vision:
- Develop and implement a creative strategy across all media platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and audience needs.
- Maintain and innovate the company’s visual and editorial identity.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performance team of designers, writers, video editors, and producers.
- Collaborate with department heads to create audience-driven content and campaigns.
- Foster a collaborative team culture and oversee hiring and talent development within the creative department.
- Content Creation & Management:
- Guide the production of compelling, innovative content across TV, radio, print, and online platforms.
- Review and approve all creative outputs, ensuring adherence to quality and brand standards.
- Ensure synergy between platforms for a unified brand experience.
- Integrated Campaigns & Brand Growth:
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and editorial teams to develop integrated campaigns that boost brand engagement.
- Oversee the creative budget, ensuring financial efficiency and project quality.
- Innovation & Trends:
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and audience preferences.
- Experiment with new formats and techniques to keep the company’s creative output fresh and relevant.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- A master’s degree is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 8–10 years of senior creative leadership in a media company, agency, or similar industry.
- Proven experience managing creative projects across multiple platforms (TV, radio, print, and digital).
- Strong background in leading and developing creative teams.
Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of branding, content strategy, and audience engagement.
- Proficiency in creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with video, audio, and print production.
- Strong storytelling skills and a keen eye for design.
