Overview of the Position

Join UNAIDS as a Resource Mobilisation & Communication Intern, where you will assist the Regional Resource Mobilisation Adviser and Regional Adviser for Communication and Advocacy. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in communication, advocacy, resource mobilisation, and private sector engagement.

About UNAIDS
UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, leads global efforts to achieve a world free from new HIV infections, discrimination, and AIDS-related deaths. Partnering with 11 UN agencies and various stakeholders, UNAIDS aims to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030 in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. More details can be found at unaids.org.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: 2 to 6 months, adaptable to in-person or remote work.
  • Type: Fully Funded.
  • Benefits: UNAIDS may offer a stipend for interns without existing financial support.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrollment in or recent completion (within one year) of an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate program from an accredited institution.
  • Internships must commence within 12 months of graduation if the applicant is a recent graduate.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Teamwork and adaptability, with a commitment to collective goals.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proactive approach with strong organizational skills.
  • Service-oriented, innovative, and results-driven.
  • Reliability in completing tasks and managing resources effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Age: Minimum 20 years old.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in at least one official UNAIDS language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish).
  • Restrictions: Candidates with immediate family members at UNAIDS or those who have completed previous UNAIDS internships are ineligible.
