Job Summary:
We are seeking to recruit a Production and Business Development Officer to support the technical management, supervision, and control of production processes across various sections. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality products and managing business development initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with management to implement objectives, policies, and procedures to meet deadlines.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage production schedules, addressing issues promptly.
- Estimate, negotiate, and agree on budgets and timelines with clients and managers.
- Assess resource requirements and set quality control standards.
- Oversee production processes, re-negotiate schedules if necessary.
- Meet client expectations for production requests and orders.
- Ensure high-quality and timely production while managing quality control.
- Supervise, motivate, and evaluate production personnel; identify training needs.
- Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation procedures, and schedules in the production section.
- Maintain hygienic standards and steward resources effectively.
- Estimate production costs and participate in budget preparation.
- Lead business development initiatives and participate in grants acquisition.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of production equipment.
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation protocols for food and equipment handling.
- Prepare and submit management and performance reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, or a relevant discipline; technical knowledge is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and project management tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Integrity, confidentiality, trust, and good work ethics are essential.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
