Job Overview:

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is inviting applications for the position of Customer Care Officer. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing client interactions, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and supporting departmental operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Public Relations
    • Hospitality
    • Front Office Management
    • Social Sciences
      The degree must be obtained from a recognized university or institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and welcoming clients visiting the department and interacting closely to assess their needs.
  • Checking the completeness of client paperwork/submissions before referring them to the technical desk.
  • Assisting clients in obtaining and filling out relevant forms/documents.
  • Answering client enquiries and providing adequate information to resolve queries.
  • Handling and referring client complaints to appropriate service providers for full service.
  • Following up on unresolved client cases and providing feedback to both technical staff and clients.
  • Compiling periodic reports on overall customer care and satisfaction with the department’s services.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
