Job Overview:
The Field Officers will assist the Intervention Manager in the implementation of the WeWork project, playing a crucial role in supporting businesses and young entrepreneurs within the horticultural value chain.
Reports To:
Intervention Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual field work/activity plans for horticultural interventions.
- Coordinate with local Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), NGOs, and other institutions to facilitate business linkages.
- Mobilize, raise awareness, and follow up with micro and small businesses.
- Assist in data collection for case studies and life stories as part of Monitoring and Result Management (MRM).
- Provide coordination and support for the implementation of project activities.
- Collaborate with the Intervention Manager to brainstorm and implement project initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Development Studies, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Rural Development, Enterprise Development, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in a field-based role, preferably within the private sector or a development project focused on agriculture.
- Strong knowledge of the agriculture sector.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and a high level of flexibility.
- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated empathy, situational leadership, accountability, and integrity.
- Passion for impact, collaborative spirit, and commitment to career growth.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Enthusiastic, with a problem-solving and can-do attitude.
