Job Overview:

KCB Bank is seeking a Head of Treasury Sales/Corporate Dealer to lead and drive the bank’s foreign exchange (Forex), money market, and liquidity/cash management operations. The successful candidate will generate new business from existing customers and actively pursue prospective clients, ensuring robust income growth in treasury operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Foreign Exchange:

• Generate high-quality business through regular client visits and daily calls.
• Serve existing and potential Forex customers by maintaining regular communication.
• Actively seek prospects in the market to grow Treasury Forex income and the customer share of wallet.
• Develop and adhere to a Weekly Customer Calling Plan, ensuring all customer interactions are documented and shared with relevant business units.
• Distribute a daily Forex and Money Market Update report to existing and prospective clients before market opening.
• Monitor competitor actions and assess their impact on the bank’s FX business.

2. Money Market:

• Price customer Term/Fixed and Call deposits in line with bank policies.
• Conduct trading activities within approved limits to mitigate counter-party risk.
• Foster strong relationships with treasury clients and financial institutions to promote business growth.

3. Liquidity & Cash Management:

• Participate in deposit mobilization efforts to boost the bank’s liquidity and grow its deposit base.

4. Customer Care:

• Apply exceptional customer service principles in handling both internal and external customers, ensuring satisfaction and relationship growth.

Qualifications:

• Academic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics.
• Professional Qualifications:
  • ACI*, CFA, ACCA, or CPA certifications are required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in treasury sales or corporate dealing.
