Position Overview:
The university is seeking a qualified Chef to manage food and beverage services for staff and students at the Main Campus – Nkozi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food and Beverage Management: Oversee the provision of food and beverages for staff and students.
  • Catering Supervision: Supervise all catering activities, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus in consultation with other chefs.
  • Staff Recruitment and Training: Recruit and train kitchen staff, and manage their shifts and rotas.
  • Team Leadership: Organize, lead, and motivate the catering team.
  • Quality Monitoring: Ensure the quality of service and cleanliness of the kitchen.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by relevant authorities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Diploma in Hotel and Institutional Catering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Chef in a recognized organization or institution.
  • Proven satisfactory record of service to the community.
