Overview: Pentecostal Ministries of Uganda Churches, in partnership with Compassion International Uganda, is seeking a Child Development Officer – Health to join their team at Acholibur Child and Youth Development Centre and Katagata CYDC. The role involves coordinating health initiatives for project children and advocating for their health needs.
Job Title: Child Development Officer – Health
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and maintain a Christ-like attitude in interactions.
- Advocate for children and caregivers living in poverty, raising awareness of their needs.
- Plan and coordinate health screenings for project children.
- Identify children and caregivers with special health needs and develop action plans with project leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate medical care and distribution of provisions to beneficiaries.
Academic Qualifications:
- Preferably a degree in Child Development Studies, Social Work and Social Administration, Education, or related fields.
Experience:
- At least two years of experience in children’s ministry.
Working Hours:
- Eight (8) hours per day.
