Description: Redeem International is seeking a Casework Administrator to support attorneys in representing victims and enhancing law enforcement capacity. This role involves data management, paralegal support, and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Management & Reporting:
    • Collaborate on monitoring & reporting strategies.
    • Manage the case management system.
    • Analyze and report on casework data.
    • Maintain physical and electronic case files.
    • Prepare internal and external reports.
    • Support leadership in tracking key indicators.
  • Paralegal Support:
    • Manage casework workflow.
    • Assist in developing intervention strategies.
    • Research and draft legal documents.
    • File and track legal documents with courts.
    • Assist clients in obtaining legal documents (e.g., land titles).
    • Interview potential clients and screen cases.
    • Prepare attorneys for legal proceedings.
    • Maintain a law library with updated resources.
    • Optional: Serve as a bailiff or process server.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Communicate with donors, supporters, and media.
    • Contribute to organizational systems and policies.
    • Participate in professional development and spiritual formation.
    • Support other Redeem teams.
    • Identify areas for casework improvement.
    • Perform clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Required: Ugandan Law Council recognized law diploma (not a degree).
    • Required: 2+ years supporting criminal/civil litigation practice.
    • Required: Data entry and management experience.
    • Preferred: Criminal justice, M&E, or development degree/experience.
    • Preferred: Experience with cloud-based data collection tools.
    • Preferred: Experience in start-up, international, or faith-based organizations.
    • Preferred: Experience working with Ugandan law enforcement (JLOS).
  • Skills:
    • Required: Fluency in English and Lusoga (written & oral).
    • Required: Computer literacy (word processing, email, etc.).
    • Preferred: Proficiency in Google Business Suite and project management tools.
    • Preferred: Legal reading, writing, and analysis skills.
    • Preferred: Public speaking or teaching skills.
  • Attributes:
    • Required: Mature Christian faith.
    • Required: High integrity and trustworthiness.
    • Required: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
    • Required: Excellent judgment and ethical decision-making.
    • Required: Problem-solving skills in complex situations.

Location: The Casework Administrator will be based in Iganga (Iganga, Namutamba, Luuka), Uganda, with occasional travel throughout the country.
