Mission/Core Purpose of the Job:
MTN, a leading provider of Mobile Financial Services and payment solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, is expanding its services to include a B2C e&m-commerce platform for merchants and consumers. The Fulfilment Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of this venture by developing and implementing logistics strategies that optimize last-mile delivery and enhance the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Development and Implementation:
   • Develop and maintain the last-mile value proposition.
   • Provide operational management direction to the Logistics team.
   • Review risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation actions.
   • Lead engagements with stakeholders and deliver key partnerships.
   • Implement logistics strategy.
2. Operational Delivery:
   • Manage e&m-commerce logistics, including successful deliveries and daily last-mile deliveries.
   • Oversee 3PL contract management and strategic partnerships with delivery companies.
3. Governance:
   • Participate in strategic meetings and industry events.
   • Manage and resolve escalations impacting service delivery.
   • Review performance against KPIs and SLAs and plan for continuous improvement.
   • Report on progress and budgets.
4. Ways of Working:
   • Lead by Connecting, Delivery, Vision, Change, and Owning.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields. Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Experience: 7-10 years in eCommerce, logistics/fulfilment, or last-mile delivery & couriering. Deep understanding of eCommerce operations and logistics management.
• Skills: Innovation, project management, analytical, interpersonal, communication, continuous improvement, data interpretation, decision-making, leadership, negotiations, people management, presentation.
