Job Summary:

MAAD McCANN is seeking a Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) Executive to join our team in Kampala. Reporting to the SBCC Manager, the SBCC Executive will play a vital role in developing and implementing SBCC messages, materials, tools, and strategies to influence and persuade target audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical proposals and strategies for SBCC campaigns.
  • Review and understand Terms of References, Request for Proposals, and Briefs.
  • Participate in brainstorms for SBCC campaigns and write brainstorm notes.
  • Prepare, print, bind, and submit technical proposals.
  • Participate in workshops, co-design sessions, meetings, and presentations.
  • Coordinate and supervise field-based SBCC activities.
  • Develop tools for co-creation sessions, interpersonal communication activities, orientations, and briefings.
  • Brief and supervise Field Coordinators across the country.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by supervisors, Heads of Department, Traffic Executive, or MD.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding and experience of SBCC approaches, message development, materials, and strategy.
  • Knowledge of current developments in communication for development, community engagement, and participation.
  • Strong analytical and professional report writing skills with experience using quantitative and qualitative data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
  • Experience working with local communities is an added advantage.
