The European Union (EU) Delegation to Kenya is offering exciting traineeship opportunities for young graduates passionate about international relations. This unique chance allows you to delve into the world of diplomatic missions and witness firsthand how the EU represents its interests and values in Kenya.

Duration: Up to 6 months Start Date: July 2024 and/or October 2024

Available Traineeships:

  1. Traineeship in the Political, Press, and Information Section (PPI)
  2. Traineeship in the Head of Delegation and Trade Sections

Requirements:

  • Hold a university degree with a keen interest in international relations, political sciences, security, trade relations, journalism/media, or related fields, especially focusing on African affairs.
  • Possess proven analytical, organizational, research, and drafting skills.
  • Be a team player with excellent communication abilities.
  • General knowledge of EU foreign policy priorities, particularly in Africa, is advantageous.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Benefits:

Selected trainees will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. Please note that all costs related to travel, visa, insurance, and accommodation must be covered by the trainee.

  1. A detailed standard Europass curriculum vitae (CV) – Create Europass CV (CVs in other formats will not be considered).
  2. A cover letter explaining your motivation to participate in an EU traineeship.
  3. An application form.

  • Funded Traineeship – Head of Delegation and Trade Sections

You may only apply to one traineeship per delegation. However, based on your profile, the delegation may offer you a traineeship in another section.
