About the Role: The SAACO Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the SACCO in accordance with policies, bylaws, and Financial Accounting Standards. Reporting to the Executive Committee/Chairperson, the role involves processing SACCO payments, conducting reconciliations, preparing tax returns, and maintaining the SACCO asset register.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process SACCO payments to meet client and stakeholder needs.
• Conduct reconciliations of payments and address inconsistencies.
• Prepare and file tax returns and other statutory deductions.
• Maintain and update the SACCO asset register.
• Review and improve internal controls to safeguard SACCO resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance or Accounting) from a reputable institution.
• Desirable ACCA or CPA qualification (or in progress, Level 2 minimum).

Experience:

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in professional accounting or auditing.
