Responsibilities:

Strategy & Programming:

  • Contribute to the development of MERL strategic and operational planning.
  • Assist in the design of MERL strategic and operational plans for projects.
  • Help develop MERL operational work plans and budgets.

Tools & Systems Development:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of PIU MERL/M&E systems and tools.
  • Design and implement project monitoring tools.
  • Monitor the implementation of detailed implementation plans quarterly.

Capacity Building:

  • Participate in capacity building initiatives for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan M&E capacity building activities for project teams and partners.
  • Deliver ad hoc and scheduled capacity building sessions.

Monitoring & Performance Management:

  • Coordinate and plan project/program reviews and visits.
  • Support the development and rollout of project targets and standards.
  • Provide ongoing advice and technical assistance to project/program managers.

Knowledge Management & Communications:

  • Develop a learning organization culture based on evidence and lessons learned.
  • Consolidate best practices, case studies, and lessons learned quarterly.
  • Participate in research, evaluation, and learning initiatives.

Safeguarding, Gender Equality & Inclusion:

 

  • Ensure Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded.
  • Ensure staff and associates understand and adhere to these policies.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Commerce, or related field.
  • Two years of experience in an M&E role.
  • Experience in providing M&E for Child Protection projects is advantageous.
  • Strong report writing skills and understanding of donor compliance.
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively.
