Job Title: Engineer – IN Planning
Reports to: Consultant – IN Planning

Main Job Functions:
- Design and dimensioning of the charging system and new products/services to support marketing initiatives.
- Plan and design network architecture for optimal growth of the Charging network in terms of traffic, subscribers, and value-added service capacity.
- Conduct research and feasibility studies for new products, generating professional technical reports.
- Design and plan the evolution of Value-Added Services (VAS), including messaging (USSD & SMS), Mobile Data, WAP, Multimedia products, and Third-Party applications.
- Produce Functional and Technical Specification documents for new products/services.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with key stakeholders to define solutions for new products/services.
- Liaise with vendors on market releases and technology upgrades for quick deployment of new products/services.
- Develop UNIX/shell scripts for processing statistics and data off the IN platforms.
- Interface with Marketing and business development groups for new service/product planning.
- Serve as the primary interface with vendors on technical design, deployment, and maintenance of IN Systems.
- Manage projects and track progress to ensure timely product launches.
- Ensure accuracy of IN performance statistics and derive appropriate forecasts for capacity planning.
- Develop technical and tender specification documents for procurement and deployment of new products/solutions.
- Act as the technical lead in IN projects managed by Capital Projects.
- Prepare long-term evolution plans for the charging system.
- Advocate for automation and efficiency within the department.
Education:
- BSc Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Unix/Solaris/Linux and Database Administration Skills.
Work Experience:
- 2 years’ experience in IN planning or operations.
- Experience in Mobile GSM Network Environment.
- Experience in UNIX shell scripting and database administration.
- Competence with Oracle/MySQL Databases.
- Proficiency in UNIX and LINUX operating systems.
- Strong shell scripting skills and Proficiency in at least 1 programming language.
- Basic IP networking knowledge.
