Job Summary:
Raising Gabdho Foundation (RGF) is seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field to contribute to our mission and gain valuable experience in finance and accounting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
– Assist in conducting financial analysis and identifying key performance indicators.
– Contribute to trend analysis and support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
– Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

2. Cost Accounting:
– Learn and assist in end-to-end cost accounting for the manufacturing process.
– Collaborate with production teams to understand cost structures and optimize costs.
– Gather data for cost analysis and contribute to cost optimization efforts.

3. Inventory Management:
– Assist in reconciling inventory accounts and gaining exposure to inventory management.
– Work with the supply chain team to understand inventory levels and suggest operational efficiencies.

4. Financial Reporting:
– Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
– Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into financial performance.

5. Sustainability Analysis:
– Support comprehensive business analysis focusing on financial performance and growth opportunities.
– Apply analytics to evaluate the impact of operational decisions on financial results and sustainability objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (graduated within the last 3 years).
– Strong academic background and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in accounting.
– Basic knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar programs.
– Familiarity with spreadsheet software, particularly Microsoft Excel.
– Willingness to adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the role evolves.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial information clearly.
– High ethical standards and integrity, understanding the importance of handling confidential financial information.
