Job Title: Site Operator Trainees (16)

Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites, or other cities if required.

Primary Function: Learn Oilfield Production Operations and Maintenance Work.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in new oil field production commissioning and start-up.
  2. Assist in collecting, identifying, and resolving production-related issues, reporting abnormalities to senior operators.
  3. Learn and manage emergency response procedures as per the emergency response plan.
  4. Understand the production process, central control system, safety systems, equipment operation, and chemical handling procedures.
  5. Assist in routine operations, troubleshooting production abnormalities, and preventing shutdowns or equipment damage.
  6. Operate oil, water, gas, and chemical processes, ensuring process stability and compliance with specifications.
  7. Conduct routine checks, maintain records, and report abnormalities to senior operators promptly.
  8. Participate in preventive maintenance of production-related equipment.
  9. Ensure cleanliness and safety at the worksite.
  10. Assist in coordinating and supervising contractor onsite work.
  11. Follow instructions from senior operators.
  12. Perform other duties assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related fields.
  • Preferably 0-2 years’ work experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Knowledge of development and production processes.
