Position: Project Assistant (4 vacancies)
Location: Kagadi, Kyenjojo, Kaliro, and Kiryandongo
Employment Type: Full-time

Travel Required: Up to 90%
Reporting To: Project Officer
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Implementation
- Conduct project design review meetings with partner villages and provide feedback to update project designs and budgets
- Coordinate and co-facilitate training activities on various topics such as financial literacy, water and health sanitation, agriculture, etc.
- Implement project methodologies to increase household income and reduce extreme poverty
- Develop and submit lists of required goods and services for project implementation
- Verify goods/inputs prior to distribution
- Provide support and guidance to community groups and households for project compliance and continuation
- Identify potential risks and issues, and provide mitigation measures and recommendations
- Conduct regular meetings with leadership and community members to assess project performance and participation
Reporting and Administration
- Develop and manage work plans
- Complete field reporting on a weekly basis and support information sharing for donor reporting and proposal writing
- Attend and participate in weekly staff and cluster team meetings
- Complete weekly financial requests, submissions, and accountabilities
- Take and share photographs for data repository
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve RTV’s way of work
- Suggest potential activities for review or introduction to ensure project sustainability and improvement in community members’ lives
Note: Other requirements may be assigned by the direct supervisor or management.
Requirements and Experience
Technical and Administrative Skills:
- Strong training and facilitation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)
- Understanding of Community-Based Development Principles
- Effective organization and time management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Creative problem-solving skills and positive attitude
- Physically able to hike high-terrain and travel extensively
- Ability to ride a motorbike would be advantageous
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Social Work, Humanities, Community Development, or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience at the village level
