Job Purpose: The Community Service Assistant – Call Desk role serves as a vital link between Safe Water and local community leaders in delivering the chlorine dispenser safe water intervention to rural communities. This office-based position involves making calls to community promoters, securing field team appointments, and maintaining databases of contacts and feedback.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make calls to community elected promoters to gather information about dispenser maintenance, chlorine refilling, and community issues.
- Schedule field team appointments for community meetings/trainings and community leaders’ meetings.
- Maintain a database of promoter contacts, call feedback, and issues raised.
- Log all calls and issues on the issue tracker system.
- Organize hard data and folders of promoter scripts and contacts.
- Perform any other activities assigned by the supervisor.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Make calls to mobilize promoters and remind them about their roles: 400 promoters per week.
Requirements: Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum education qualification is at least a UACE certificate.
- 1-2 years of experience working with communities, social enterprises, or NGOs.
- Certificate in office management, communication, community work, or project management is an advantage.
- Certificate in computer skills in MS Office suite is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and other local languages (Lugweri/Lusoga/Lusamia/Ateso) both spoken and written.

- Good computer skills, data entry, and management.
- High level of discipline and integrity while engaging with community leaders and program teams.
- Community service attitude and passion for rural community work.
- Self-driven and highly motivated to deliver results within tight deadlines.

- Positive attitude towards work and development in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Official working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required, including working beyond official hours and weekends.
