Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer

Organization: Uganda Technology And Management University

Duty station: Kampala

Key responsibilities:

• Develop or review the quality assurance framework, plans, tools, and strategies.
• Advise on and monitor quality assurance requirements for teaching, learning, research, and community outreach programs;
• Provide technical and professional support to the various academic and administrative units.
• Plan, implement and continually improve the quality management systems.
• Coordinate the conduct of quality management system audits and conformity assessments by External Advisors, Assessors and auditing, certification, accreditation or pre-qualification bodies.
• Communicate quality management targets, shortfalls, remedial measures, and improved processes and procedures;

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Educational Administration and Management; Management Science; Information Systems; or business
• Demonstrated experience in the Quality Assurance role
• Working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.)
• Computer literate, with the ability to use a range of Microsoft software packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
• Experience of working with Higher Institutions of learning
• Experience in E-learning
• Training in monitoring and evaluation
• Age bracket: 25-40 years
