It opened in 1994 to support children of ex-pat missionaries but has since expanded to welcome those of all faiths and none, whilst still remaining true to its core Christian values. We have over 40 nationalities represented and are currently moving towards our full capacity of 550 students.
Job Summary:
The IT Systems Admin assumes management responsibilities related to all areas of the School’s IT infrastructure and consequently plays an important role in the selection, implementation and management of information technologies to achieve the School’s IT goals.

Professional Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the School’s IT Plan
- Investigate and implement sustainable IT projects, in consultation with the Head of School and committees, in line with the needs of the School and the IT Plan
- Devise, document and maintain IT policies and procedures that ensure operational (business) continuity and compliance with relevant requirements
- Implement, manage, and optimize all IT systems, within approved budget and resource allocations
- Lead an environment in which high quality services are delivered within the School, with clear communication to all stakeholders
- Manage the appointment and relationship of strategic partnerships with IT hardware, software and service vendors
- Coordinate security and risk management for information managed by, and on behalf of, the School
- Supervise IT staff and their ongoing schedule of work
- Attend meetings and offer guidance on technical issues to staff
- Prioritize resolution and determine whether external support is required
- Be an exemplary professional role model for staff and students
- Initiate and access appropriate professional development for the IT team
- Cooperate with the Board and administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.
- Integrate Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout all activities
- Follow the Matthew 18:15-20 principle in dealing with conflict with students, parents, staff, and administration
Administrative
- Arrange for the collection and disposal of old equipment, configuration and installations.
- Plan and implement installation of printers
- Maintain an inventory of all hardware, software license, network cabling, Telephony and CCTV resources and a register of all borrowed equipment.
- Maintain access to, and security of, CCTV camera servers
- Create network shares and manage access rights
- Responsible for pricing and procurement of IT devices, software, repairs and contracts. This includes sourcing prices from suppliers and completing order forms as appropriate.
- Manage the allocation and monitoring of IT resources and prepare appropriate timely reports;
- Manage third party vendors to organize warranty and repairs of IT equipment, negotiating resolutions where appropriate;
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance in the IT Department
- Coach IT staff, prioritize work to meet outcomes, monitor workloads, review progress of projects and provide feedback where necessary to staff
Minimum Qualifications:
- High level of skills and knowledge in order to provide professional advice in the role and area of expertise
- Minimum of a degree in Computer Science or any related field
- Certification in networking skills (CISCO) and Hardware maintenance (A+)
- Certification in Linux system administration
- Certification in Microsoft systems administration
- Current industry-based certificates that relate to the School’s system are essential
- Experience in managing wired and wireless enterprise grade network topologies and firewalls
- Experience in managing Office 365, and the integration with onsite Student Information Systems or equivalent
- Understanding of server and client operating systems and applications used in school settings, including SSO, Exchange, GSuite,
- Experience in managing software deployment
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in networking, hardware & software
- At least three years’ experience in a Senior Systems Administrator role
