Very important gains have been made in many frameworks, policies and laws that protect the rights of women, yet, the power dynamics that drive inequality between women and men remain in force at all levels.

We exist to strengthen pathways between young and older women who aspire to meaningfully contribute to the greater women’s movement in Uganda.

 

 

Job Summary:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be entrusted with telling the stories of women in a style that articulates the organisation’s work and empowers women. The work will include to;
  • Manage and support M&E and learning activities
  • Communicate learning for internal and external audiences
  • Manage M&E work plans and budget and ensure relevant milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate annual planning of M&E work and budget alongside programme teams
  • Manage and support M&E officers in their work with programme teams as well as providing M&E support to programme teams directly as required
  • Develop M&E & learning components for new programme proposals, including M&E budgets
  • Support critical thinking and learning processes such as reflection and review processes, and the use of project planning questions
  • Seek out and develop new M&E funding opportunities, for evaluations and other pieces of analysis work.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Good understanding of the practical complexities of implementing M&E in feminist work.
  • Good writing and strategic communications skills.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Experience working with social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.
  • An understanding of feminism.
  • Critical analysis and storytelling.
