Very important gains have been made in many frameworks, policies and laws that protect the rights of women, yet, the power dynamics that drive inequality between women and men remain in force at all levels.

We exist to strengthen pathways between young and older women who aspire to meaningfully contribute to the greater women’s movement in Uganda.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Femme Forte is looking for a Chief Builder based in Kampala, Uganda to offer leadership in a Fast-paced and quickly evolving sector. The Chief Builders’ work will be to;
- Expand program offerings and enhance the quality of existing programs.
- Develop and implement strategies for the program team.
- Understand how different projects interlink and overlap.
- Working with the Chief Steward to manage staff and resources for programs
- Contribute to strategic communications to increase awareness of the organisation’s work.
- Manage budgets and reporting on fund allocation.
- Participate in the contract and grant application processes including design, submission and review.
- Advise on investment decisions, activities and provide strategies to follow.
- Coordinate and run events and workshops.
- Curate feedback and present insights.
- Report on program performance to the organisation’s leadership, stakeholders and donors.
- Identify opportunities for continual improvement.
- Developing sector partnerships and relationships.
- Ensure relevant standards, process and regulations are upheld
- Write reports and engage in femme forte’s story telling.
Minimum Qualifications
- Exceptional leadership ability with demonstrated success in motivating and developing staff
- Demonstrated communication, organizational and analytical skills
- At least three years’ experience in a management position
- Good writing and storytelling skills.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to complex challenges including fundraising.
- Experience working with social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.
- An understanding of feminism and appreciation of the contributions others can make.
