Job Summary:
You will join the team as Finance & Credit Lead full-time. As such, you are the ‘voice of finance’ in the team, responsible for our credit portfolio and driving funding execution with our investors and other funders. We will put you on a fast track to grow into a CFO role within 1-3 years.
Roles and responsibilities:
Concretely, your responsibilities include:
- Drive growth of our funding base and engage with investors and other funders
- Originate, close and manage relations with our investors and funders
- Oversee growth and quality of our credit portfolio
- Continuously drive improvements in our accounting and finance team
- Responsible for accounting and (management) reporting
- Contribute to fact-based decision making on management level
You will work closely with the CEO and data science team. The position will be located in our beautiful head office in Bugolobi, Kampala.
Minimum Qualifications:
What we are looking for
We are looking for an analytical, sharp-minded person with a solid drive to get things done. You have the ambition and potential to grow into a CFO role within 2-3 years.
In a perfect world you bring the following:
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, transaction services, (investment) banking, investing, and/or Big Four
- An analytical and sharp mind
- Good understanding of accounting, preferably of FIs
- Understanding of credit
- Strong drive and hands-on mentality
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to work in a tech venture
