Job Summary:
Periodic reports on human rights violations/abuses reported on both print and electronic media. Victims of human rights abuse are received and directed to the right officers for advice. Timely and effective distribution of human rights education materials to the public. Contribute to reports on on-going activities. Well organized meetings, workshops and seminars
Roles and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and the direct supervision of the Human Rights Officer in charge of Kampala Human Rights Monitoring team, the NUNV will under• take the following tasks in support to the implementation of the OHCHR Uganda work plan;
- Assist in regular collection, analysis and reporting on human rights abuses and variations reported on both print and electronic media
- Receive victims of alleged human rights violations and liaise with the team for possible collective action
- Assist in maintaining awareness of current human rights issues, including relevant political and legal developments in the country
- Assist in the distribution of human rights education and promotional materials to the public
- Contribute to regular reports on on-going and completed activities
- Assist in the organization and administrative arrangements of training activities and workshops
- Participate in relevant meetings, seminars and workshops and prepare relevant meeting records
- Providing support on human rights-based approach mainstreaming
Minimum Qualifications for UN Volunteers Uganda Jobs 2021
- Required experience: 3 years of experience in Experience working with international human rights standards, instruments and mechanisms is an added advantage.
- Area(s) of expertise: Legal affairs
- Driving license: –
- Languages: English, Level; Fluent, Required
- Required education level: Bachelor degree or equivalent in Human rights, Political science, International relations, Peace and Conflict studies or related field.
- Competencies and values: Accountability, Communication, Ethics and Values Integrity

Sorry to ehar about that. BUt all the job listings we publish are official and they typically dont require any money to secure the job.
People who do so are frauds and we dont publish such jobs.
