Job Summary

The Program Officer – Stanbic Business Incubator ltd will support the day today implementation of assigned programs involving organizing ongoing projects from inception to closure.  This task involves implementing and monitoring project plans, schedules, trainings and leading of program operations.  It involves following up on recruiting program beneficiaries, organizing, and participating in stakeholder meetings, supporting in the reporting on the projects, and actively participating in ensuring that  project KPIs and deadlines are met in a timely manner.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Program implementation and execution

  • Lead on the execution of assigned program or tasks from, recruitment, monitoring and implementation as guided by the program coordinator and programmes manager.
  • Support existing or new program roll out including listening and collecting feedback from participants, research, ideation, testing and execution. Maintaining and monitoring project plans, work plans and projections.
  • Support the identification, mobilisation, recruitment and maintaining of program beneficiaries during and after program delivery.
  • Continuous follow up on the target program beneficiaries and collecting feedback to ensure customer satisfaction and informing the programmes manager about the same in real time.
  • Offer continuous customer support to the program beneficiaries to ensure a smooth learning experience.
  • Take lead on Running and managing master classes and or any other project or program as will be assigned by the programme’s manager.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on third party performance of given tasks and deliverables to the programme’s manager.
  • Participate in stake holder meetings, organise, present, and share insights in the same
  • Documenting program reports and stake holder engagements
  • Support on the front desk function and or as assigned by the programme’s manager.
  • Manager the Stanbic Business Incubator and official phone line as shall be guided by the Programmes Manager.
  • Providing administrative support to the programme’s manager and in all matters programming or where assigned.

Risk and operational internal control support

  • Ensure compliance with all processes and adherence to protocol while implementing program work.
  • Identification of risks that may arise during work, action and or report them to the programme’s manager for action these may include program delivery risks, country risk third party risk among others.
  • Development of appropriate co-ordination of control surveillance services from processes Operational Risk and Compliance
  • Support on identifying and spotting avenues for Business continuity planning and recovery processes

Financial management oversight

  • Support the Programme coordinator and monitoring specific program budgets and or collecting, receiving, and filing invoices addressed to the Incubator.
  • Support Petty cash management accountability and reconciliation as assigned by the accounting officer.
  • Supporting and following up on any queries that may arise from any vendor to the relevant support system like the accounting officer or the programmes manager.
  • Where required support in the processing of payments of given vendors or beneficiaries to the program.

Customer care and people management

  • Engage both clients and fellow staff proactively and develop good, constructive working relationships with other members of the group.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on work and to take responsibility for and ownership of functional areas and any assigned projects/tasks
  • Gain a strong level of support and collaboration from the group members to ensure seamless support offered and accessed across the subsidiaries where any need arises. execution of priorities across all subsidiaries where need arises.
  • Specifically need to display courtesy, team-mindedness and diversity awareness considering the breadth of stakeholders necessary to influence and motivate in achieving the above tasks.
  • Any other tasks as assigned to you by the programmes manager

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank Program Officer job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social work and administration, Project planning and management, Business Administration or equivalent and relevant.
  • At least two years of experience in related field, front desk operations, project or program officer role and or customer care support.
  • Problem solving skills exemplified through experience.
  • Has worked in a very fast paced environment with little or no supervision.
  • Exceptional verbal, communication, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with digital collaboration tools like zoom, teams, google meet.
  • Computer literacy; MS Office Applications.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing and social media skills
  • Detail oriented and observant
  • Ability to work effectively both independently with no or limited supervision and as part of a team.
  • Aware of existing enterprise development challenges and trends globally
  • Past entrepreneurial experience will be an added advantage
  • Can show and prove passion for Entrepreneurship and SME growth.
  • Past front desk or customer care center experience with ability to deal with clients in all their forms.
  • Warm spirited patient and friendly
  • Computer literacy; MS Office Applications
  • Good understanding of statistics and report collation
  • Knows how to question and probe for information
  • Business knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
