Job Profile:

The Technician will support the regional office by carrying out assigned technical tasks in line with the Commission’s mandate and guidelines.

Roles and responsibilities:

• To ensure that all technical equipment is in good technical working conditions
• Troubleshoot technical problems for example electronic equipment such as communication equipment
• Provide support in carrying out technical inspections, and carry out routine monitoring measurements
• Provide support in conducting tests of communication equipment and collection of the required data.
• To provide support in setting up and monitoring technical equipment
• Assist the head office technical staff as they perform routine procedures in the regional offices.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate for the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Technician job placement should hold a Diploma in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering or a related filed
• Two (2) years’ experience in telecommunications or electrical engineering in a similar corporate environment
