EFC Uganda Limited Profile:
EFC Uganda Limited (MDI) offers a wide range of products and financial services that are customized to suit the Ugandan market. These include access to savings accounts using smart cards as well as commercial and housing loans. Our lending products range in scope from the Market Women Trader Loans, Home Improvement Loans, and MSE Loans, while our savings products include Regular Savings Accounts, Premium Savings Accounts, and Term Deposit Savings.
Job Profile:
It is the primary objective of the Teller to accurately and efficiently process and record routine transactions for EFC customers Including accepting deposits and withdrawals and processing loan payments and money transfers. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Teller is also accountable to promote and advise customers on the EFC’s products and services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Receive and count/balance cash drawer at the beginning of each day;
- Accept cash and cheques for deposit and check the accuracy of deposit slips;
- Process cash withdrawals;
- Perform specialized tasks as required;
- Receive and verify loan payments;
- Record all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with EFC procedures;
- Balance cash drawer at end of each shift;
- Answer Inquiries regarding other EFC related products;
- Attempt to resolve issues and problems with customer’s accounts;
- Initiate and open new accounts:
- Explain and promote EFC products and services to customers
Minimum Qualifications:
- The applicants for the Teller jobs must hold Bachelor’s Degrees from recognized universities
- Some clerical, administrative, cash handling, sales or customer service experience preferred;
- Knowledge of customer service principles;
- Relevant computer skills;
- Strong people/relationship skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Core Competencies:
- Performing as a team member in assuring the efficiency of the workflow;
- Training new employees and answering co-worker questions;
- Possible involvement in ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing cash shipments;
- Promoting and maintaining positive relations with all contacts, customers and potential customers
