Her Voice Africa (formerly Campus Babe Initiative) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting teenage mothers and at-risk girls. Through Second-Chance Education, entrepreneurship training, healthcare, counseling, and curated opportunities, we empower vulnerable girls and women to thrive and shape brighter futures.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Communications and Marketing Officer to amplify Her Voice Africa’s mission and impact. This role will focus on creating compelling narratives, managing digital platforms, and cultivating relationships to elevate the organization’s profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Design and implement communication and marketing strategies to boost awareness and support for Her Voice Africa’s programs.
- Digital Presence Management: Oversee social media platforms, website updates, and email campaigns to ensure consistent and engaging messaging.
- Content Creation: Develop impactful content, including newsletters, press releases, blogs, and social media posts, showcasing the organization’s impact.
- Media and Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, donors, and partners to amplify outreach and influence.
- Campaign Analysis: Use analytics tools to track and report campaign performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Education:
- Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience:
- Previous experience in managing digital platforms, developing marketing strategies, or content creation.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
Skills:
- Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
- Proficiency in social media management and tools like Canva is a plus.
Mindset and Attributes:
- Creative, collaborative, and passionate about making an impact.
- Self-starter with adaptability and eagerness to grow.
Job Conditions
- Work Hours: 8 hours per day.
- Experience: No prior work experience required (internships accepted).
- Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma.
