Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Create accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
• Collaborate with project managers and design consultants on drawing-focused tasks.
• Integrate seamlessly with project managers, consultants, and sub-contractors to produce and modify drawings.
• Print CAD drawings in various formats and deliver them promptly to the appropriate contacts.
• Organize and systematically save sketches and drawings on the CAD server, keeping project folders and files updated as jobs progress.
• Provide support to the project team during the design process by creating sketches and drawings.
• Review and check sketches and drawings for errors before sharing them with architects, subcontractors, and project managers.
• Create and maintain updated project drawing lists.
• Print various drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
• Organize and upload drawings to web-based storage platforms for collaboration.
• Create, edit, and update standard details for use in ongoing projects.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar CAD engineering role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for creating 2D and 3D drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, and architectural standards.
• Proficiency in additional design software relevant to construction.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and dimensionally correct drawings.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, site work, and technical drawing standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Hours

• 8 hours per day
