Job Summary:
The VPO (Voyager Plant Optimization) Manager is responsible for leading and sustaining VPO pillars within the brewery, ensuring compliance with global auditing standards, and driving continuous improvement across plant operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safety culture in the workplace.
- Serve as the Management Pillar Owner for the plant.
- Conduct loss and waste analysis to identify system gaps and drive actions for closure.
- Review VPO gap closures monthly and report quarterly to the Zone team.
- Coordinate and integrate VPO implementation processes across all pillars within the plant.
- Interface with Zone VPO teams for updates, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Identify and drive Value Added (VA) initiatives and monitor their progress.
- Standardize and document plant routine meetings (MCRS and TOR’s).
- Develop and assure training materials and capabilities for Management Pillar training.
- Oversee 5S implementation across all plant departments.
- Lead and coach problem-solving initiatives using methodologies like 5-Why, PDCA, and GAP analysis.
- Monitor, track, and verify KPI results, ensuring timely submission of reports.
- Support the brewery’s achievement of Supply KPI targets through training and education.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
- Diploma in Packaging/Brewing (IBD).
- At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Excellence or Department Management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact assertively at all levels.
- Motivated team player with analytical abilities.
Key Competencies:
- Experience with industrial engineering improvement techniques.
- Project management skills for delivering initiatives from start to completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills applicable at all levels.
- Understanding of change management processes and tools.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence technical teams and mobilize them effectively during varied operational periods.
