Role Overview
The Regional Sales Manager will manage all sales activities within a designated geographical region, overseeing sales targets, team performance, and business growth through partnerships. The role involves substantial fieldwork and is well-suited to candidates passionate about sales, team management, and social impact in a tech-driven company focused on small-scale farmers.

Role Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in setting and communicating sales KPIs to Sales Team Leads, ensuring clear understanding of targets.
  • Conduct regular check-ins (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to track KPI achievement, ensuring effective sales lead conversion and performance support.
  • Own regional sales targets, working towards 100% achievement through equipping the sales team with essential knowledge, tools, and skills.
  • Understand the regional territory, ensure proper agent distribution, and resolve issues for agents, Sales Team Leads, and Sales Agents.
  • Lead joint fieldwork with Sales Team Leads and Sales Agents, offering weekly training sessions to boost agent recruitment.
  • Oversee the execution of work plans from Sales Team Leads through weekly reviews.
  • Build business growth through networking, partnerships, and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Monitor competitor activities in the region, exploring business development opportunities.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to generate leads and increase brand visibility.
  • Align team activities with the sales strategy and ensure KPIs are met.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience and Skills:
    • At least 4 years in a leadership role, managing teams, preferably in Eastern and Central Uganda.
    • Proficiency in the local language and willingness for door-to-door sales and farm visits.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and listening skills.
    • Direct sales experience in target-driven roles, with a proven ability to present and sell to groups.
    • Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring and coaching.
    • Adaptability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.
    • Detail-oriented and focused on results.
    • Familiarity with solar/off-grid pump systems and territory development experience is an added advantage.

Work Environment and Other Details

  • Job Hours: 8 hours per day
  • Experience Required: Not specified, but experience in the role is preferred.
