Job Summary
The Local Area Representative is responsible for coordinating and implementing sales and trade marketing activities in urban outlets selling beer and soft drinks. The role focuses on driving sales, building and maintaining client relationships, and enhancing brand presence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Execution:

  • Implement and monitor national and regional trade promotions and report on performance.
  • Negotiate additional sales in urban outlets offering beer and soft drinks.
  • Assess order requirements based on stock levels and target needs.
  • Analyze and report on competitor activities.
  • Advise clients on business strategies and ensure product availability per guidelines.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customer staff.
  • Prepare routes and conduct customer visits, ensuring compliance and call effectiveness.
  • Generate and implement execution improvement proposals after approval.
  • Identify and support local/national events for promotion.
  • Address new volume opportunities in the assigned area.
  • Ensure proper product display and execution.

Planning:

  • Maintain and update an accurate customer database.
  • Assess and evaluate outlets based on set guidelines.
  • Develop trade plans and share with the sales manager for implementation.

Resource Management:

  • Aggregate merchandising investment needs for budget input.
  • Safeguard all company assets, including coolers, brand houses, vehicles, phones, and laptops.
  • Select, contract, and manage promoters.

Sales Performance:

  • Drive market share growth within the territory.
  • Achieve sales volume targets and promote digital transformation initiatives such as Bees Buyers and Bees Force.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales processes.

Administration:

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
  • Compile monthly KPIs and competitor activity reports.
  • Maintain detailed outlet records.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in Sales & Marketing, preferably in the soft drinks or FMCG industry.
  • Skills:
    • Team-oriented with strong leadership and motivational abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Effective task prioritization.
  • Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with distribution processes and cost optimization.
    • Understanding of distributor environments.
    • Competence in commercial processes and budgeting techniques.
  • Other: Valid driver’s license.
