Applications for the 2025 Rest & Resilience Fellowship are now open. This program, launched by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and the taz Panter Foundation, offers a unique opportunity for two journalists each year from countries where press freedom is limited to spend six months in Berlin. The fellowship provides a flexible, personalized experience that supports both personal well-being and professional growth, without a fixed schedule.

RSF is a global human rights organization advocating for freedom of information and press rights. The taz Panter Foundation works closely with tageszeitung (taz) to support independent journalism and promote active social participation.
Fellowship Details:
- Duration: May 1 to October 31, 2025.
- Host Institution: RSF.
- Type: Fully funded.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Professional Background: Several years of experience as a professional journalist. (Note: Only professional journalists are eligible.)
- Impact Vision: A clear plan on how the fellowship will contribute to enhancing their current work situation.
- Personal Risk: Evidence of personal risk related to their journalistic work.
- Language: Proficiency in English.
- Valid Passport: A passport valid for at least 12 months from the application date or the ability to renew independently.
- Health: Good physical and mental health with the capacity for independent living abroad.
- Commitment to Return: Willingness to return to their home country after the fellowship period. (Note: Due to visa regulations, journalists who cannot return to their home country for safety reasons cannot be considered.)
