About the Role
Uganda Airlines is seeking a skilled Revenue Accounting Consultant to enhance its Passenger Revenue Accounting (PRA) function. With the recent implementation of the Amadeus Revenue Accounting system, we aim to align our practices with global standards, optimizing revenue management and accuracy through expert guidance.
Objectives of the Consultancy
The consultant will focus on:
- Assessing Current PRA Processes: Conduct a thorough review of the Amadeus system and implement improvements to enhance accuracy.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Deliver comprehensive training, achieving proficiency within six months.
- Auditing & System Optimization: Reduce revenue leakage by 20% and implement industry-compliant auditing controls.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to IATA and IFRS standards, establishing sustainable SOPs for continued improvement.
Scope of Work
The consultant’s responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive PRA Assessment: Assess current processes, benchmark, and optimize.
- Training & Capacity Building: Provide hands-on sessions on key processes.
- Revenue Leakage Minimization: Implement auditing processes to identify and control leakage.
- System Integration & Optimization: Enhance data flow and revenue recognition through system optimizations.
- Compliance & Documentation: Establish and document SOPs in line with IATA and IFRS standards.
- Mentorship and Support: Offer ongoing guidance for sustained process improvements.
Deliverables
- Initial Assessment Report – Month 1
- Training Program & Materials – Completed by Month 3
- System Optimization & Integration Report – By Month 6
- Revenue Leakage Control Framework – By Month 6
- Final Report – At the end of the consultancy
Qualifications
- Airline Revenue Accounting Experience: Extensive expertise in PRA processes, including interline billing and revenue recognition.
- IATA & Revenue Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Amadeus and airline revenue management systems.
- Revenue Assurance & Audit Experience: Proven ability to minimize leakage and ensure data integrity.
- Training & Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex concepts and train PRA staff effectively.

Evaluation Criteria
