Position: Project Officer

Job Description:
The Project Officer will work closely with the Humanitarian Team Lead and Community-Based Trainers (CBTs) to ensure effective implementation of project activities. This role is essential in achieving timely and high-quality project outcomes in alignment with the project proposal.
Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including UNHCR, OPM, DLG, and implementing partners.
- Value Chain Mapping: Identify key value chain actors and potential market outlets, and prepare training sessions to boost production.
- Capacity Building: Support and build the capacity of Community-Based Trainers and institutions for successful project delivery.
- Financial Access: Profile financial service providers, focusing on VSLAs for adolescents and women in refugee and host communities.
- Handcraft Production: Promote mass production of handcrafts and facilitate access to financial services for adolescents and women.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, particularly within the humanitarian or NGO sector. Experience working in refugee settings is highly advantageous.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of community-based project implementation and capacity building.
- Familiarity with financial inclusion, especially for vulnerable groups (VSLAs experience preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging environments.
- Language: Proficiency in English. Knowledge of local languages is an asset.
